In 2015 Innovate Your State:
Received over 450 ideas, 1,300 comments and 8,000 votes for the Fix California Challenge, a crowdsourced competition to find ways to improve the State of California. Through the challenge, two winners were named and two other ideas were funded.
Launched the OpenGov Grant Reimbursement Program for California Counties to apply for a free first year of service on the OpenGov financial transparency platform. As of November 2015, 1.5 million California residents now have access to their county finances through the program.
Convened civic and gov tech entrepreneurs, investors, and government leaders at the first annual Civic Tech Showcase. In case you missed it, the presentations can be found here.
